Why artificial

A clean, green garden — every day of the year.

Not for everyone. But for shaded gardens, busy families, dog owners and anyone tired of the mud-mow-rinse-repeat cycle, it's hard to beat.

Zero maintenance

No mowing, no feeding, no scarifying, no reseeding. A brush over once in a while and you're done.

All-weather usable

Drains as fast as it rains. No mud, no waterlogged patches, no waiting for the lawn to dry out.

Pet & kid friendly

Hard-wearing pile that handles dogs, paddling pools, football, trikes — the lot. Easy to rinse clean.

Stays green all year

Same lush green in February as in July. No winter dormancy, no scorched summer patches.

Perfect for shade

Where natural grass struggles to grow — under trees, north-facing gardens — artificial just works.

5-year written guarantee

Workmanship guarantee on every install. Quality turfs come with their own 8–10 year manufacturer warranty on top.

Our 7-step install

Why cheap artificial lawns ripple after a year.

It's almost never the turf — it's the prep underneath. Skipped sub-base, no edging, no membrane. Here's how we do it properly.

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Site survey

Levels, drainage, access — we measure up in person and recommend the right turf grade for your use.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Excavation

Old lawn or surface stripped out to the correct depth — usually 75–100mm.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    MOT Type 1 sub-base

Compacted in layers for stability and free drainage. The bit that stops the lawn rippling and dipping later.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Sharp sand levelling layer

Screeded flat for a smooth, true finish underfoot.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Weed membrane & timber edging

Membrane to stop anything pushing through, timber edging to lock the perimeter.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Turf laid & joined invisibly

Cut precisely to fit. Joins seamed and glued so they're invisible from above.

  7. 7

    Step 7 · Handover

    Final brush & inspection

Pile groomed upright, kiln-dried sand brushed in (where specified), walk-around with you and guarantee in writing.

Frequently asked

Honest answers, no upsells.

How long does artificial grass last?
Quality turfs come with 8–10 year manufacturer warranties and last 15+ years in real-world use. Cheap turfs can flatten and fade in 3–5 — we don't fit those.
Is it safe for dogs?
Yes. The pile is hard-wearing and the free-draining base means urine drains straight through. We recommend hosing through every couple of weeks in summer.
Does it get hot in summer?
It can — significantly hotter than real grass on a sunny day. Worth knowing if you have south-facing direct sun and bare-foot kids. Lighter pile colours stay cooler.
How much does it cost?
Typical Glasgow installs land between £65 and £120 per m², all-in. Final price depends on access, ground conditions and turf grade.
Will it look fake?
Quality multi-tone turfs from established manufacturers look genuinely realistic — different blade lengths, multiple shades of green, brown thatch. Cheap turfs do look plastic. We only fit the good stuff.
What if the ground isn't level?
We level it as part of the install. That's most of what makes a good artificial lawn — the prep underneath, not the grass on top.
