Why our fences

Most fences fail at the post — not the panel.

Leaning posts, rotted bases, panels lifting in the wind. All down to shortcuts at install. Here's how we make sure yours doesn't.

Pressure-treated to UC4

All timber rated for ground contact — the standard that resists rot, insects and Scottish damp.

Concrete-set posts

Properly haunched in postcrete to the right depth. The bit cheap installers skip — it's why their fences lean after a winter.

Gravel boards as standard

Concrete or treated timber gravel boards lift the panels off the ground so they don't rot from the bottom up.

Built for Scottish weather

Specced and braced to withstand the wind exposure your boundary actually faces — not generic spec.

Full range of styles

Closeboard, lap panel, contemporary slatted, decorative trellis tops — pick the look that suits your garden.

5-year written guarantee

Workmanship guarantee on every install. Posts, panels, gates — the lot.

Frequently asked

Honest answers, no upsells.

How long will my fence last?
With pressure-treated timber, concrete-set posts and gravel boards, panel fences typically last 15+ years and closeboard 20+ years. Periodic re-treatment extends both.
Can you match my existing fence?
Most existing styles and heights, yes. We'll bring samples to confirm the match for any extension or repair work.
Do you need access to both sides?
Ideally yes, but we can work from one side if needed. We'll discuss neighbour access at the site survey.
What about boundary disputes?
We can advise on typical arrangements and which side is conventionally yours, but we can't resolve legal disputes. Best to confirm boundary ownership before we start.
Can you install gates?
Yes — pedestrian gates and double drive-through gates, custom sizes if needed, with proper hinges and secure latches.
Concrete or timber posts?
Concrete posts last longer (effectively forever) and never rot at ground level. Timber posts look more traditional. We'll recommend based on your garden and budget.
