Cheap turf installs skip the ground prep, cut corners on topsoil and don't water it in. That's why three months later the joints have shrunk and patches have died. Here's how we actually do it.

Site survey
We assess existing ground, drainage, levels and access in person (usually 20–30 minutes).

Clearance
The existing lawn, weeds and normal garden debris are lifted and removed. Heavy clearance or abnormal waste is identified at survey and priced separately.

Levelling & ground prep
Rotovate, level and grade the ground for an even, free-draining base: the bit that makes or breaks a lawn.

Quality screened topsoil
Added where the existing soil needs improvement. Substantial soil replacement or drainage work is assessed separately.

Small gardens are priced as a complete project rather than by multiplying a square-metre rate.
