Cracked slabs, sunken corners, water pooling against the back wall, all symptoms of one thing: shortcuts below the surface. We don't take them.
Proper foundations
100–150mm of compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base. The thing budget installers skimp on. It's why their patios sink and lift.
Built-in drainage
Minimum 1:80 fall away from the building, with drainage where needed. No standing water, no green slime in winter.
Premium materials
Porcelain, sandstone, concrete or block (sourced from established UK manufacturers with proper colour warranties).
Full service
Normal excavation, disposal, levelling, edging and clean-up are covered in the written quote. Exceptional or structural work is identified at survey.
Design flexibility

Material choice, laying pattern, drainage falls and edge details, agreed before we start.

Excavation
Existing surface lifted and removed where required, then the ground is excavated to the correct depth. Unusual demolition or waste requirements are identified at survey.

Properly compacted in layers: the foundation of a patio that lasts.

Installed to contain the paving and stop creep at the perimeter.
